How hard would it be to put a SHO V6 in a bronco 2? I thought It would look cool have the intake of a sho in a B2. I know with toyota they had the 22r in a truck and a car. So maybe with some bracket modifications you could? Has anyone every heard of doing this? Plus a sho has 220 hp.

The SHO was a Yamaha Engine, or parts of it were made by them. The only hard part would be finding a trans to go behind it. As it was configured for a FWD application.
If you have the 2.9L you could always look for the dual TB intake from the European/Auzzie 2.9L in the falcons, or the Merkurs.

Here's another question: Is the 3.0 in a SHO the same as a 3.0 in a Ranger? If so wouldn't the tranny in my 2.9 B2 work?

Hold on I found at the ranger station a guy who has asked the same question and they are telling him that a 3.0 ranger tranny will bolt up. Need more than that to know if the motor will work though...

I've heard of a few people looking into the 3.0L swap, but I don't recall anyone actually doing it.
I'm not positive, but I'm going to agree with Joel and say no, the ranger tranny will not bolt up. I suspect the tranny limitation is the main drawback to this motor.
