D7 4.10 rear axel

D7 4.10 rear axel

I have a D7 4.10 rear axel in my 88 fbII i hear that this is a rare axel to find in a BII can any one tell me just what a D7 4.10 axel is and if this is a good axel or not. i dont know too much about this topic thanks

It just means that is has 4.10 gears which is probably rare for that year. Probably has a towing package or something. I think 4.10's were more common in the earlier Bronco's and Rangers. Other that the gears, there's nothing special. But the gears are nice to have.

D7 is a 4.10 with a limited slip.

I've seen more B2's with 4.10's than Rangers.

Rangers only had 4.10's if they were 2.3L's.

There is rumor of 4.10 TTB Explorers but they are VERY rare. I don't think they exist from factory. Sort of like the 4.0L B2.
