hey all well im lookinf for the front sway bar for an 1988 fbII 4x4 only problem is i cant find one anywhere... even the ford dealership said they cant find one,, is there another year or one from another make or model that will fit my truck. any one have one for sale ????

so, I was looking at my truck yesterday and couldn't figure out what these brackets on the front of my frame are for. then I read your post and wala! that was for the swaybar! thans for reminding me. as for your question.. I would try a junkyard. a ranger one would probably work too. other than that I don't realy see why you need one anyway. The first modification I made on mine when I got it was to get rid of the swaybar. anyways, good luck with whatever you do.

Some of the rangers used one that mounted in between the radius arms. I would try to find one off of a later model like an 89 or newer ranger or any of the exploders and BII's. These ones mount foward the front axle and are easy to make quick disconnects for.
