ok, I have a couple of questions. I got a 5.0 out of a 93 Thunderbird, its in and running, (had some trouble with the drive shaft but its all sorted out) my questions are....
1. I am keeping the guage cluster from the t-bird, but the fuel guage doesnt seem to be compatible with the BII sending unit. Is there an easy fix? or should it be compaible?
2. does the oil filter relocator raise the oil pressure or do I have another problem?
Thats it for now. thanks

could always buy a sending unit for a thunderbird or take the one out of the donor vehicle and as far as oil filter relocator i would have to say no on oil pressure but would cause it to require more oil but ive always heard more oil pressure is good as long as it dont blow out seals

Don't know about the fuel guage. How come you want the to use the t-bird cluster?
As for the oil, no the adapter won't raise the pressure. The sending unit on your t-bird motor is probably just a switch for the dummy light. It should be a canister looking thing.
Got any pics of your conversion?

You have another problem with the oil pressure, how much do you have? The sending unit for the BII and the T-bird must be different, so you will have to get either a gauge or a sending unit that matched the ohms full and empty.
I have a 93 t-bird motor in my EB and love it.

check your oil sending unit. but i've also heard no such thing as to much oil pressure.

The oil pressure is about 3/4 up the guage. No pics, they are all on my phone, I will have to get them off sometime for you guys and do a write up or something. Its pretty sweet. oh, and the reason for keeping the t-bird cluster is because its a digital speedometer and also didnt want to mess with guage incompatability. Such as the fuel guage for instance. Did I mention its pretty sweet though.

3/4 way up gauge is great if not normal so you dont have a thing to worry about

3/4 of the way is pretty good. I would like to see it move though (higher when cold, lower when ran for a while).

The 5L oil pressure should be around 50 psi.
