Tranny Swap

I finaly got to take my B2 with fresh 4.0 swap out offroding this weekend. It was alot of fun. Everything went perfect until my tranny seized up. It wasn't the best tranny in the world but I hoped it would last longer than it did. But any way my question is a have a spair tranny out of a 2.9 and was wondering if it would bolt up against my 4.0. I heard that it would but I seem to think my 4.0 tranny has 8 bolts and the other has 6 I think. But will It work?

yes, if it came off of a 2.9 it will bolt up.
