autohubs to lockouts

my brother just bought an 88 b2 that has axels from an explorer in it and the question at hand is it has those automatic hubs and he hates them as much as i do so does anyone know what all is involved in converting to lockouts?

PM jwillie, he just did the manual hubs on his Ranger front a few months ago.

The 28 is slightly different in as it has a small bearing washer and another washer in addition to the splined washer on the end of the axle shaft.
