i just bought my bronco II today. I paid $1300 canadian for it and its in really good condition. I am only the third owner and it hasnt been drivin in the last 3 years so the caliper sliders have siezed up.
I brought it in for an inspection before i purchased it and the mechanic said the brake system was good except for the caliper sliders, they had seized. Well i needed to drive the car home and on the way home the brakes appeared to over heat, so i figure its just the caliper sliders. Ive looked everywhere to try to figure how to fix it in the easiest way, but i havent found anything yet. I think they are also known as caliper pins. any help? is it an expensive fix? timely? i had changed the breaks on my old acura integra but i havent ever done a domestic
