i have an 87' bronco2 with a 2.9 v-6 5-speed 4x4. i was out muddin when it stalled. it acted like it was out of gas but i could hear the fuel pump pumpin fuel. it stalled when i held it at the rev limiter for a while tryin to get out of this whole. i pulled the plugs thinking they were fouled but thats not the problem. i think its the coil but im not sure. any help would be nice because im very dependent on this vehicle to go to work and school and have no other options so quick replies PLEASE thnx. :frown:

Have you actually checked fuel pressure and volume? Noise don't mean it is workin.

Also I would be paranoid something broke internally holding it on the rev limiter... However, check to see if ya got fuel at the schrader valve. If no fuel pressure or low maybe 1 of 2 fuel pumps could be bad. The HP or the LP pump.

After ruling out fuel problems look at the spark. Pull the coil wire from the dist end and hold it near the block or metal. You should be seeing a big fat blue spark when ya kick the motor over.. If not troubleshoot the ignition..

Something else to think about! You said you where Wheeling when it went Tango Uniform! Have you checked the inertia switch? That is located on the passenger upper toe board. Could be you tripped that..

Check the codes also. If it still doesn't start let us know some more info and maybe we can get ya going.
