what is the cfm rating on a stock 2.8 carb

approx. 380 cfm. more than enough.

hmm thats weird then i wonder why everything i saw said that Holley 350 cfm is the best thing you can do to the 2.8 for cheap horse power thats is a non ccc

the holley is a better performing carb than the motorcraft. Ain't the cheapest upgrade though. A muffler and 2 1/4 catback exhaust and a open element air filter was the best cheap upgrades that I have done. I have seen people through the 500 cfm holley on. It may help the top end it also drowns the bottom end and that doesn't benefit you at all in wheelin. That is why I said 380 cfm is more than enough.

i got a guy giving me a non ccc holley 350 so not all that expencive
