ok i noticed some slight vibrations other day when turning and a little bit of travel in steering wheel to the right and thought oh my brakes are rubbing no biggy then today when turning and accelerating i feel more of a vibration and little more travel to the right. looked at my front u joints and they look ify so thought it might be them but now i feel a sharp vibration on the floor pan and a loud noise all the time i look at my wheel and around my lug nuts i see a gap and metal shavings and now what looks to be a wheel that is possibly screwwed i attempted to pull off lug nuts but they spun both dirrections freely anyone wanna know whats wrong if its my wheel studs or possible my u joints and what i could have done to make this happen so i wont do it again. any help would be appreciated

I had the same problem with a few of mine on a 85 B2. Turned out the studs were stripped out thus allowing for the bi-directional spinning. Mine was caused by a combination of rust and cross threading(B2 had set for a few years waiting for a new engine). Have to hand start a lug nut before impacting it or it can easily cross thread. Tire shops are bad about this when they try to hurry by putting the lug nut in the socket and impacting it on. Ended up having to cut the lug nuts off the studs and then replaced the studs and new lug nuts.

i cut em off and my rotors were shot from vibration so i gotta replace studs and rotors
