Would this work for a 302 conversion

Hey everyone, I just found this on ebay and was wondering if it would be correct for a 302 conversion. Any advice would be appreciated. I wasn't sure because I would think it would have to be a shortblock to fit in the engine compartment. The best part is the guy is in the same town as me. So picking it up would be a snap

Yes it will work. Being a shortblock or longblock has nothing to do with fitment. This refers to what is included in the sale. Shortblock means that you get the block and rotating assembly (crank, rods, and pistons already installed), longblock means that you get the block, rotating assembly, heads, oilpan and valvecovers (not included are the intake, carb, exhaust, dist, etc like stated in the ebay auction). The car is nice though, too bad he isn't selling the whole thing and too bad its wrecked.

try and get the wiring harness that may help you when you go to put it in.

I'm trying to set something up now to see the engine. He is actually selling the whole car too. He didn't say what the car had for a tranny. if it's an auto I might go for the whole drivetrain.

Going to be taking a look at the motor tomorrow afternoon. He also has a C4 tranny that he'll throw in if I take the motor. I'll ask him about the harness tomorrow and get some pics to post.
