Just did my rear explorer leafspring swap. Got 31" from the ground to the top lip of the wheelwell now and it rides great. if you have been thinking about doing this mod, don't hesitate !!

I just wanted to say for anyone reading this the 1 1/2" is because his old springs where sagged to hell because the explorer springs are the same size but are alot stiffer and I agree its the best swap I ever did for my old BII :)

Good job on the painting man I just threw the rusty ass ones in :)

yea the reason alot of people say they will give you lift is because they go under the axle on a explorer and are the same size as a BII spring wich are over the axle.

but on a BII the spring perch is on the side of the frame rail and on an explorer it is under the frame rail making up for the difference of axle width.

But I think it brought my rear up about 1.5" because my springs where so bagged. and now with all the spare parts tools etc loaded in the back it still sits level rather than dropped 3"
