Power Steering return hose

My power steering return hose is leaking. It looks like it's just a hose with clamps on either end. Is that what it's supposed to look like, or have I been ambushed by a practical previous owner?

Anything I should be aware of while changing it?

Sounds normal for a return line. You might be able to get away with just tightening up the hose clamps. If you replace the hose, make sure you ask for power steering hose.

probably too late to give a warning (a week too late), but watch out for the fittings at the ends sticking. They were real sticky on mine, and when the fitting on the pump finally broke loose and turned, I ended up sandwiching my hand between the wrench and the compressor and broke a bone in my hand. So be more careful than I was with hand placement, since the fittings are kinda a b*tch to get at.
