It kinda sucks when you have been at work for 10 minutes and your wife calls in a panic describing a loud explosion outside your house and someone who appears to be drunk stumbling around in your front yard at 12:30 AM. Not to mention work is 45 minutes away. So you leave work and come home to find that someone has plowed into your bronco, knocked it aprox 30 feet and and took out your mailbox. Oh, and the axel is so twisted that it's not drivable.
Hey Matt, I guess you can delete my post from the "For Sale" section LOL.

The police were definately invovled. He blew a 000 on the breathalizer. He admited to the officers that he was a cancer patient and was on Morphene and some other cancer drugs. The officer at the scene told me that he believed that he passed out. When my wife first talked to him after she called the police, he was very incoherent and wasn't making any sense. Not sure if that was due to the medications or getting his bell rung.
Thankfully no one was hurt.
Here is the irony of the whole thing. Today I get a call about my bronco for sale from someone seriously interested in it. LOL. Just my luck. One of the officers saw the "For Sale" sign in the window and laughed. He said " I guess his insurance just bought the truck".

Well I hope they still took him DUI because you dont have to be drunk to be DUI only impaired by something making you unable to safely operate a vehicle.
Also its a good thing that this happened late at night so no kids were out playing and get run over.

I thought that was the case as well, however they did not arrest him. He lives 3 houses down from mine, so I don't know if that was why they didn't arrest him or not.
You are right about the late at night part. Many people walk in our sub division and lots of kids including mine are out til almost dark now that school is out.
