Hopefully easy question for someone. Trying to hook up 4 wire trailer hitch wiring. Each side has lime green wire, black wire and brown wire going to the turn signal/brake/tail light. Tried to buy after market kit, no such luck. Need advice on which wire is hooked to what on the 4 wire hitch(left signal, right signal, ground, tail light) I tried and got nota.

best way and easiest way to make sure you have it right is to use a test light and check for pwr at the harness with each wire... example rt blinker check wire and connect corresponding wire, lt blinker check wire and so on.

Ford makes a adapter that plugs into the existing wiring harness and It takes all the guessing out of it for you. Mine had about 2 ft of cord to reach where ever you needed it to. Fatman's idea will well to. I try to avoid cutting into my wire harness.
