I'm in the process of buying an Expo 8.8 from a forum member here and a question came up that I need the answer to. What pinion angle does the Expo rear hav to be so it can go into a lifted BII, 4-5" lift? What is the stock pinion angle?
Thanks,
Greg

your just gonna have to put it in and point the pinion to the rear output of the tcase.

Depends on what driveshaft you use. If you use a double cardan then the diff pinion yoke should be down 1-1.5 degrees from the driveshaft angle. This is to alow for pinion climb under power. So when you put power to the rear end the pinion will move up and you will be in a straight line with the driveshaft.
If you use a single u-joint on each end then the top angle on the t-case/driveshaft side should match the bottom angle on the diff pinion/driveshaft and then again go down on the pinion angle another 1-1.5 degrees for pinon climb. Or the bottom angle of the t-case/driveshaft should match the top angle of the pinion/driveshaft.
