My 15 year old son started to install his 3" body lift yesterday. He removed the seats and carpet from his B2 for access. I noticed his carpet is pretty much junk.

He turns 16 on May 30th and would like to buy him new carpet for his birthday.

Who sells good a replacement with all the OEM style plastic attachments.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You could look at LMC Truck at www.LMCtruck.com . I haven't gotten anything from the yet but their catalog looks like they have about everything you need for a BII

James Duff lists that they sell preformed carpet and that it includes the insulation/padding http://www.jamesduff.com/

I'm looking for a carpet set also, Auto Custom Carpets, J.C.Whitney, James Duff and Nifty Products are some of the ones I have seen in catalog but not in person. Is there anyone on the Forum that can give a thumbs up or down to these choices through their experiences ?? DBrown .... how do like that JCW carpet set, pretty good or good enough ?? TIA

I've used J.C. Whitney before. I got the molded carpet for one of my mustangs I had. Fit perfectly and looked great.
As mentioned above LMC also has carpet.

You know, I don't really remember if it had a pad. I don't think it did. It had some sort of backing on it but I don't think it was a pad. I do remember that it was much thicker than the origonal carpet. Made for a pretty tight fit around some of the trim along the door jams. But other than that it was molded perfectly. I did have to cut the hole for the shifter, no big deal there. The outside edges had a molding sewn all the way around it to keep it from fraying I guess. I think I paid something like $70 to do the whole car. I have thought of buying it for my BII when the time comes or if I dont roll Herculiner on it.

I'm more of a " tweak 'til it breaks ", then " don't go that far next time " person.
