quick question

when putting in the 302, do you need to have a body lift or will it fit without one? and dose the 302 require any of the old vacume stuff or can i burn that?

No you don't need a body lift. I don't have one. However with the transmission I used, I had to cut my transmission tunnel quite a bit. It also depends on what motor mounts and headers you use.

As for the all the bronco II vacuum stuff, yes you can toss it. It will clean up the engine compartment a lot.

I suggest you check you smog laws before you do your V8 swap. Generally speaking you need an engine the same year or newer than the vehicle, and all the smog stuff for that engine must be intact.

I don't have smog laws where I live. I'll be screwed the day they get here though. If I were to do again, I would make an effort to be legal. They make pretty hard to comply though, so we gotta do what we gotta do :rolleyes:
