3" Body Lift

Ok... I have never done a body lift before. I am quite mechanically inclined though and I have a full shop at my disposal. My question is, is this something a trained ape can do or is it really difficult. I have been doing a lot of reading and it seems simple enough and the benefits seem good.

Thanks, and if anyone could point me in the direction of the cheapest and best place to order it, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thats the 64 dollar question. Kind of like how hard is hard. The front seats have to be removed. The front carpet pulled back. The rear carpet pulled forward. I've had body bolts break. Rusted in the middle. Then the body mounts and sleeves have to be cut out and replaced. Not a bad idea even if they don't on a 20 year old truck. Rubber doesn't last forever. Might consider upgrading to poly body bushings. A little fab work if you want to keep the fan shroud.

Here is a link for a Ranger lift. http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_li ... t_lift.htm

it is not that bad. just give your self plenty of time. I didn't remove the seats when I did mine. just pulled the carpet back. a grinder and sawzaw will come in handy if you break some bolts. do your self a favor and get new bushings at the same time...I just threw the fan shroud out but I also upgraded to electric fans around the same time...
