Ok iv got a Mazda M5R2 from and F-250 under the BII and the t-case I have(BW1356) is to large so I was wondering what you guys would reccomend the NP205 or I noticed NOBODY used a Dana20 with an adapter(why is that?) or anyone know of anything else that will fit under the BII.

the dana 20 doesnt come behind the 435 like Nobody has, so he had to make an adaptor. Im pretty certian the 205 will bolt up to your tranny. It is a heavy gear driven unit. You can twin stick the rails to get independent front and rear wheel drive. The low range is only 1.96 to 1 but you can get a 203 doubler to double the low range. I have the 205 in my b2 and love it. Just wating on my 208 doubler to be made for a better crawl ratio.

what is to big about the BW1356. a NP208 would be a good choice also in such a small vehicle cuz its light and has a low crawl in it. also its easy to find and if you find some jeep parts you can get the fixed rear yoke for it so it wont spew if the shaft comes out.

BW 1356 is really wide and i put it in my rig but i had to cut some frame out and it was still not centered so i would not reconmend it but i would recomend the 205 and if the BW is a slip yoke style one you can convert it to a doubler like i did.

I liked the NP435/205 combo in my BII. the granny first and low range worked well and the 205 is realy strong. the D20 has a better low range ratio but is a little different depending on if you are j shift or t shift

I used a Dana 20 largely because I got one with the parts EB I bought for axles. Since NP435's are so cheap, it was easy for me to justify the adapter. I also didn't like the 1.99:1 low range that the NP205 has.
6.69 X 2.46 x 4.56 = 75.04
vs
6.69 x 1.99 x 4.56 = 60.70
That's a pretty significant difference. Even if you were to run 5.13's with a 205, it still wouldn't be as low a Dana 20 with 4.56's, and you'd scream on the highway.
6.69 x 1.99 x 5.13 = 68.29
I also wanted the ability to twin stick, so that ruled out pretty much all the other t-cases.

ok thanx for all the replies the only question I have is to Rock Crawler do you have an article at all on the BW doubler? this one isnt a slip yoke tho.
oh one more quicm question for you all theres a '79 Fullsize Bronco down the street with NP435/NP205 the guy wants $800cdn for it is it worth it? its a COMPLETE rust bucket. like as bad as that Nomad they did on Overhaulin'
ohyea and how did you guys mount the 205? noticed in the Broco they have two mount points is this necesary? can I just hang it off the tranny aslong as I make a stronger than stock crossmember?

I run two tranny mounts one on the tranny and one off the NP 205. I think its smart to run both because the 205 is a heavy sucker.

that is about $400-$500 USD right?
I would do it for that...then sell what you don't need. the front end around here would bring $300 pretty easy if it is a 351M truck the bell housing will work for a 460 so you should be able to sell that pretty easy too. hell the body should bring $50 at the crusher.

It has a 460 in it with a NP435/NP205 D44 Front and I think a 9" Rear and yea the price is 800.00 CAD = 690.472 USD
