Ohhhhh yeah... the engine is in and bolted down! Unfortunately, I think my RX7 rear end went out on the way back up.

So... I don't have my V6 alternator, but I do have an old V8 one. Can I hook it up or does anyone think I might run into wiring problems. Also, AA suggests a mounting and adjusting bracket. Any thoughts on these?

The v-8 one should work as long as it is with in the same era as your BII.

It's not. It's old school 1960's or so. The wiring harness won't fit. If I get a new V-8 alternator, does anyone know if the harness will fit?

My 1986 V-8 alternator has the same wiring plugs as my 1985 4 cylinder fuel injected ranger. I know that the carbed V-6 alt has the lower amp alt and it has diferent plugs.

That's what I had... carbed V6. I guess I'll just have to go get a new alternator. Probably a good idea since mine is a 1967. Thanks for the input.
