Fuel Cell ?

Post by WarHorse »

What fuel pump would I use to run on my BII with my fuel cell? The cell I have already has a GM style sender in it, and I know the BII has two fuel pumps. Would a basic high pressure pump work, I know some of them are like 125 psi MAX, and your fuel regulator should regulate the flow. Anyone know?

I work at Auto Zone so a part # would be great.

I know the stock frame mounted pump is a good one. It works with V8's. The stock in-tank pump is just a low pressure feeder pump, and isn't really required, especially since your fuel cell is probably mounted in the bed. I think in 1990 they went to a single in-tank pump though.

What engine are you running?

The 2.9 engine, I think I found one I can use it's like an E2000 part number. I can get one I'm sure at Auto Zone where I work.

An E2000 is on many FI Fords. You can find them from BII's to Trucks to vans and so on, the one on my FI EB 5L is from pull a part and just happened to come off of a BII.

I know from at least 89 -90 its a single pump in the tank. You can do a search for an 89 B2 fuel pump and that should be plenty.

Ok it looks like the B2 is the E2059MN. COMPLETE FUEL PUMP MODULE ASSEMBLY AND STRAINER .

So that should help. Seeing how much that is, I would visit the boneyard for one. :puke:

so you are just using a stock motor and moving your fuel cell up into the back?

if that is the case just use a factory setup and run some new line up to the fuel cell. if you need a feeder just go get a cheap carb electric pump and run it as a feeder.
