Alright you young bucks I need help with replaceing a gas tank on my 87 B11 V8, if anybody knows a site that can help me please post it,
also any way to plug a small hole made by rocks stuck on top the guard platte and under the tank. Thanks Seadream

I've heard you can use a bar of soap as a temp trail fix.

Replacing the tank is pretty easy. Easier if it's empty! Disconnect the filler neck and other fuel lines. Drop the skid plate and then remove the straps holding the tank in. It will probably go much faster than you think.

I had a trail fix one time of a nail, gasket maker and a sock. I had a slow leak from a rock wedged between the gastank and skidplate. I jacked up the side of the b2 that had the hole. I think used the nail and gasket maker to seal the hole up. I then wedged a sock over the nail between the gastank and skidplate.

I actually ran this for about 6 months before I remembered that the trail fix was there and I put in a new ploy tank.
