You currently have a Borg Warner 1350 transfer case. These use the small u-joint OR CV style flange that you have. The also have that retarded slip built into the front output.
The Borg Warner 1354 uses 1310 u-joints, and has a flange on the front output. This transfercase came in explorers and some 1990 Bronco II's. This case should interchange with yours.
Since you are lifting your BII 6", you will still need to deal with driveshaft length.
If I were in your shoes, this is the what I would try to do. Had you bought a 4" lift, you could have avoided some of the driveline issues.
