So, I gave a tow hitch mounted to my b2 its an 85 with the 2.8l and the mitsubishi fm145 trans. My uncle swears up and down that i could tow a small camping trailer on it (like one of the sidetreks that are about 8 foot long) anyone know if the tranny, clutch, engine, dif, t-case can handle pulling that? if not what do ya think the most weight i could safely tow is?

Also want to know how i can keep the engine i have (carburated) and pump up the torque or horse power. I dont want to swap anything big out, i want to start with what i have. Anyway i could get cold air intake on it? no such thing as power chips for the b2's right? i can spend a little money but i dont want to swap engine, t-case, axels out. Just basic stuff to boost the torgue or horse power up by a fear numbers.

Got it. trans fill plug. Started it up and the sound from releasing the clutch still happens. I changed the pilot bearing, not i guess i need to change the clutch pilot bearing???

I looked at a drawing of a fm145 and I think the plug is located on the drivers side of the trans.
