Yep... I'm going with the right. It looks more "rear" bumperish. And, I think it's a better foundation for a tire carrier add-on.

I agree with the right side. Thats alot of how I wanted to build my bumpers. I just wish I could have a day off to work on my junk I have already started....

I like the right side, it looks good and probably has more strength.

Update.... Thus far I'm very happy. I still have some little things to do. I might go ahead and wrap it around, and I need to build a tire carrier, make hangers for my flaps, license plate light etc...

did you use 2"or 2 1/2" square tube?

I'm not sure how you measure square tube, but it's just over 1.5" outside to outside, and about 2" diagonal. I think 3/16 wall. I bought it long time ago, so I don't remember what it is. I just picked out what I liked.

That looks great. You doing the front the same way?

I'm not sure what I'm going to do on the front yet. I may replace the round tube with square and finish it off with square tube. I'm sort of waiting to get a winch.

Actually duff sells a very similar bumper (not as good as mine ) for $249. I have some friends that run the duff bumper and it seems to be pretty stout. It's not tweaked for high clearance like mine though.

That would be better to custom make it for the clearance.
