hey deisel what year donor vehicle did you use?

i used my 79 bronco.

started it for the first time today, ran pretty good. I think I need a new carb. and for some reason the gauge said no oil pressure so I think the 302 swap is going to come sooner then later. I have a mechanical around here somewhere so I will try that first. found out my rad is leaking from the lower hose spout, but it runs. got the tranny issue worked out just the shift forks not lined up. pulled the stearing arm and hyro line for the clutch. checked with autozone and they said they had to order the slave I need. I did figure out how I'm going to do the stearing......
planned to use 2 u joints with the factory 79 slip shaft. you can flip the 79 u joint to hook into the gear box. so I just need to fab up the top to mount to the BII column. I think it will be pretty simple. planned on welding it then putting a bolt through the center for extra protection.

unfortunatly no, I have been really bogged down with school for the last two weeks, had to design a house - 4 floor plans, 6 elevations, 2 section drawings, iterior perspective, and a model all to 1/4"=1' scale. I went off like 3 hours of sleep a night when I did sleep, but I got it done. I have a test on wed. so that leaves thurs for the BII. I am hopping to get at least one big issue delt with. maybe the clutch or the steering arm. I'll post the pics when I get them done. I have autoCAD on my computer so if you want pics of the parts I have made to do my swap I can draw them up and post or send them to you in a file.

wow you have auto cad!man if those have deminisons with them that would sure save me time and trial and error.no hurry though so when you have extra time [lol] I'll take everything you want to send.just send it to my email through this site.
I still am not working ,it's starting to get depressing.Do yourself a favor and dont get hurt on the job after you reach age 45,no one wants to hire you .I might have to go back to driving a semi,but I really dont want to leave home anymore.Maybe if I could find a short haul job it wouldnt be too bad.

well, I don't have the plans drawn up but I can. its not that hard. the placement on your frame is where it ill get tricky. I measured all the points of contact and then maked and checked them like 50 times before I made
anything and placed it. if everything goes right I should be able to work on it thurs. so I will give y'all an update then!

That would be cool man.Dont go to any speacial trouble,only send me the stuff if you were gona make drawings for a write up or for your own records.Wouldnt it be cool if you sent me the CAD drawings and I used them to build my truck and the b2 full size 78-79 combo caught on and you had to start making and selling kits and counting cash till the weeee hours of the morning .
I need money so bad I signed to work at the polls for the upcoming election,it pays 75.00,and while I was at the training class tonight I was offered a job!Full time with beefits as a County Corrections Officer.Pay is 27500.00,1 week pd vac after 6 months and 2 weeks after a year,health ins.thats as good as G.M. or Ford.I'm taking the test this coming Sat.Damn thing takes 8 hours.I have a real good shot at this because I'm a Vietnam era vet.Just had to share the news with someone besides the wife.
If you want send me update pics when you get a chance.I was telling a buddy of mine about your project and he suggested I use a VW Bug body.I saw one of those on a Full size Chevy Blazer frame once,looked good.And there used to be a guy on PJB that had a late 70's Scout body on a 78-79 bronco frame.I'm not sure but I think the Scout was a new fiberglass body,cause its harder to find a rust free Scout than it is to find a rust free 78-79 Bronco body LOL.

congrats on the job, I have a friend that does that at Eddievill in Paducah. he seems to like it ok, and the pay is good. I will get all that junk together when I have a chance but it will be awhile.......got another project yesterday. this one is alot bigger then what I just finished.....what you will do to make 40K a year.......I am planning on doing a few things to the truck tomarrow but I don't know that it will be worth posting. I am planning on ordering the slave and some other parts, changing the oil, cutting off the exhaust, and just some other stuff to get me back into it. it is making me sick that it is setting out their and I haven't touched it for 3 weeks. wheelin was my way of relieving stress, so now I guess I will just drink my self into a drunken hays for fun untill I can get some more daylight to wrench.

so how is everything coming along? also i was wondering if i could get the demensions and sketch of the rear body mounts.

slow.......man, it has rained every day I have had off. even today. it's really starting to get depressing. when school isn't weighing down it rains. I guess I will just order parts today if there is a break in the rain I will grab some measurements and draw it up for you. do you have CAD? I tried to email you the other day but I don't know if you got it or not......is your address you have on your profile right?

what is cad? yeah email is right i have'nt recieved anything though. i might have erased it if i didnt recognize the sender.

autoCAD....... it's what you use to draw blue prints. I got 2004, but I think the drawings all interchange between the versions for the most part.

cleaned up the spare radius arms I had laying around to get ready to wrist one. bought a new angle grinder and talked to the guys at JBG they say my parts are supost to be here next week so I might be able to put the rear down as a win next week. my rear mounts were built out of 4x4 11 guage tube. I can't remeber what the measurement was exactly but I think it was like 37.5" long. then I just welded 2x3 angle on the corners to bolt them to the frame rails.
