Post by NMB2 »

we're doing discs on the front of a 74 bronco for a customer and i need to know exactly what spindles i grab. from what ive understood i use small bearing chevy spindles with ford rotors and calipers. what exact year/model chevy's have the spindles i need or even a part number would be great. thanks
i wish my lawn was emo...so it'd cut itself.

The small bearing spindles are usually found on ~72-76 chevys. I don't know the part number off the top of my head.

Chevy parts
- small bearing spindle
- backing plates
- calipers

Ford part
- hub and rotor assembly
You can get a complete ford hub/rotor assembly with studs for $35 or so from napa. I don't have the part number handy.

Technically, you would want chevy stub shafts, but the ford stubs work fine. You just can't use the c-clip. I ran ford stubbs for awhile, and currently have chevy stubs and I still don't use the clip. It really isn't needed.

edit: Small spindle part number: 706528X (?)
