POS headlights

Hi all, so my headlights are done in my 88' B2... no its not the bulbs, they were flickering for a while but would work. Now they dont work at all. So all morning I have been trying to find out WTF is going on.

SOOOO i need some advise, I have disconnected the connector thing that hooks into the bulb, I checked for power to that and NOTHING!! (and yes I pulled the headlights on). AND now my dash is in pieces because i thought it might have been the headlight modulater thing, but i check power to it and had full power!! So if any of you could help me out please let me know!!!

forgot someting.... I have also traced all of the headlight wires to their 8 or 10 wire connector thing above the driverside tire well, and there is only power to ONE wire, i believe its the tan or orange wire that has power. And again leaving the headlight switch there is all power!?????

There should be a headlight relay. The full power draw of the lamps will kill a switch, that is why there is a relay. It may be inside, under the dash or actually plugs into the fuse panel if I remember correctly. Good Luck

I had a headlight do that once...loosen all the connections and clean them. my problem was the head light connector was packed with mud.

I had that same problem before it ended up being a ground wire on the driver-side of the rad. it is the only black wire there that comes out of the wrapped wires and connects right beside the rad. mine broke on the inside so it looked good still so just wiggle that and see what happens

Check the connection on the hi/low beam switch all the power runs through that switch. Mine melted and cause that problem.

After pulling the entire dash and replacing the headlight switch, it did the same thing

. So I had to spring for the dimmer turn signal switch, with my fingers crossed. I pulled the column covers and replaced the switch, reconnected the battery and look at that... the easiest thing to go wrong went wrong and NOW I have lights!!

And it turned out that the previous owner of the Ronco had replaced it with one from a junkyard. Well im happy now.
