Does it use any kind of bushing one the pivot?

no, it is a hex bolt that has a large smooth shoulder that the shifters ride on.

the hex bolt screws into a block that bolts on to the top of the adaptor. you can see the block pretty good in the second pic.

it's realy simple, I probably should have made my own but I just didn't want to fool with it.
