I look for it. They aren't cheap though. I traded some stuff for the on I got and then spent $100 on a new module cause the old one wasn't there.

It's not getting fuel to the plugs. Fuel gets to the carburator and that's it.
Plugs are dry. What is going on?

2.8's don't have timing chains they have gears. Like I said before check the valve lash.

when you say it is getting fuel to the carb do you mean you pulled the line and there is gas or you opened the throttle and you see fuel spray?

I opened a throttle and see a spay.
Now, I removed drivers valve cover and distributor, cranked the engine to see if stuff is moving. It did. To remove a cover, I had to disconnect vacuum line from the front of the carb that goes to EVAP ? canister. Then checked one plug- it was wet. Also, spark from distributor to the plugs is weak and disappears after couple cranks. I'm thinking bad TFI- that's the only thing I didn't check yet.

you can take the TFI off and have it checked at autozone or advanced. they do it for free, just make sure they do it a few times......sometimes they don't show bad untill they warm up. I would take the coil with you too, they can check it also. I would probably start looking to convert to duraspark.

I am all ready to do Duraspark. Problem is, I just bought this truck, it ran back and forth, but I want to make sure tranny and driveline are fine before investing money.

What is the size of those two bolts on TFI?

Okay, I just bought most of the stuff for Duraspark.
Wish me luck!
