Leaks
Leaks
I have a 87 bII and I have developed a water leak somewhere on the passenger side behind the heater core. Rain water keeps comming in and soaking my carpet. I have removed the dash and can't find anywhere the water can be comming from. I am replcing the windsheld next week in hopes that it will stop the leak. Anyone having the same problem?
Are you sure it's not the heater core leaking?
Otherwise, I think you're on the right track with it being the windshield. If you remove the plastic trim on the inside, you might be able to see where it's coming from.
You can reseal the windshield yourself. It's a pretty tedious task getting them out in one piece though. I've done it a few times and, I need to install another one in my bronco.

Look at the sealant in your drip rails, It is a common probelm in the r-10-bII bodys that when the sealant gets dry itnolongers expands and contract with the rig and tens to leak water down the pillar onto the floor. You have to scrap out the old sealant and replace it with new. At least that is what my buddy at the windshield shop told me when I thought my windshield leaked.
