84 B-II Console wiring ?

Post by medic1657 »

First time poster here...Recently purchased an 84 B-II to tinker with. Plan on putting back to original condition as time and money allows. The interior was stripped by the previous owner and was just set in a pile in the vehicle when I bought it. I put it back together today and was installing the center console between the bucket seats. There are two sets of wiring plugs under the console in addition to the LED display that emerge from the carpet under the console. One goes to the low fuel alarm sensor, the other I can't figure out where it goes. I've checked my Chilton's and Haynes manuals but they don't have anything listed.
Do any of you know what this is supposed to connect to?

There were a few different consoles used, some were overhead. Anyway, some had a 4wd display of some sort.

That would be my guess does it have two wires and it is a grey connector?

B-II Console wiring

Post by medic1657 »

That's what has me scratching my head about it. I installed the seats and there were no wires attached. The plug is as you described...square shaped, 2 wires with a grey connector but there is nothing for it to attach to. The seats are original as well as the console. I'm going to check a little further and see if I missed a connector that may have been pushed under the carpet, but I didn't feel one or see one.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions. If I figure it out, I'll post another reply. I'm certain this won't be the last question I have during this project.

It's actually, the seatbelt, not the seat.

I took the seats and carpet back out today and found the connector that matched the one in question perfectly hidden under the carpet near the transfer case shifter. It goes to the instument indicator in the console. Only thing I can figure is I overlooked it during the install.
Sorry everyone for wasting your time, but thanks for the responses.
Thanks
