took me a second to figure out what we where looking at :) I had the same thing happen to me if its the spring clip that broke that we where supposed to notice.

I just replaced it with a couple of large hoseclamps hasnt happened since.

sorta...both sides got smashed....but one definatly did it first..cuz its smashed..and then the other couldnt handle the stress of wheeling i suppose and it twisted and smashed...tearing part of the housing open. thus... 90 weight

what really caused it...was my lack of knowledge when we welded those perches on some 8 months ago...we got the tubes really hot using 170amps on an arc welder and ran 3 beads on each side...ruined the metal..one side let go..then all the stress of the axle trying to wrap caved that one side of the tube in...soo i got a housing 2.5" narrower for less leverage, 1.25" wheelspacers. trussed it and got 1/4" tube..cut in half and put it on the bottoms of the tube where the u-bolts wrap around so they dont dig..and i torqed them on properly instead of with the impact
