Alright i have found this 79 Full size bronco that i will be buying if the price is right just for the axles and such, however im not exaclty familiar with how suspension works and steering linkages and such. Basically ive talked to someone who is gonna help me do the SAS and i was wondering what parts I should keep off of the bronco so i can get everything together? Im gonna be running a coil suspension in the front, and could I use the bronco springs? if so how much lift would that give? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Keep the radius arm brackets, they work well with BII's.
You'll have to fab a trac bar bracket, and shorten your track bar.
I highly recommend buying some early bronco 3.5" springs. Whatever brand you can get your hands on up there should work. I use the duff springs. Wouldn't recommend using the FS springs.
You'll need to build/buy steering linkage, or shorten the stuff you have. I personally like the chevy stuff.
Are you going to cut down the axles or run full width?

Aight well its confirmed, I got the bronco, its a 79 Automatic. The guy said it has a lift on it...most likely jsut a body could be a suspension though. And yea Im planning on running full width. So basically just keep the (1)radius arm brackets (2)shorten the trac bar from the bronco (3)and possibly shorten the steering linkage...so thats it huh besides the axles, so i will buy the JD coils so long as they will work ive heard good stuff about them, can i keep the shocks for now? I guess i will prob try to sell the engine, trans, and roll cage, most likely scrap the body. What about my driveshafts...theres gonna be some bolt pattern differences im sure, is it just a matter of getting the one from my broncoII cut down/extended and then getting some kind of adapter on the end?

the chevy TRE's are larger then the ford ones. just have to redrill/ream the knuckle for them to work on top of the original location and use some threaded DOM to make everyhintg work.
I have seen some people just flip the ford stuff on another board but it will probably not last as long as just converting to the chevy stuff. the stearing is really low on the 78-79 D44.

TRE= Tie Rod End
DOM = Tube
You thread the tube to accept the TRE's.
And going full width creates a few problems that you are going to have to deal with. Since you can't move the wedges on the 78/79 axles, you're going to have to space out the coil buckets and radius arm brackets on the frame. Not my prefered choice.
actualy I saw over on pirate that the distance between the frame rails at the radius arm brackets on the BII is 34" or 34.5"?
that is about the same measurement that I pulled from outside rail to outside rail on the 79 frame where the radius arm brackets land. so he migh be able to just space the coil buckets an deal with the track bar bracket to get it linked up.
I can pull a measurement tomarrow if you need one?
