cracked flexplate

i have a cracked flex plate on ford broncoii 2nd time?

How about a little history and some specifics?Engine, tranny, where did it crack, etc.

Is this a wheeler, or a just a commuter?

Did you put the shim plate in between the motor and trans?

the thin flat sheet metal plate yes

started out sounded like bad gear on flywheel/flexplate
changed starter no help
got worse some times would not start had to turn crank to new position
bought new flexplate slid tranny back changed flexplate all ok
three weeks later sound came back
pulled starter i could see cracks in fly wheel
suggestions ?
