on my d44 I just blew out the berings on the drivers side u joint. is it possible to switch out the u joint without removing the axel shaft?
1987 Bronco2, d44/9" locked, sweet paint job. Now with available 5.0

No.
It only takes about 10 minutes to pull a shaft anyway.
