Pilot bearing

Post by Wicked Bronco II »

I bought a pilot bearing for my 92 4.0 i was wondering is it supposed to stick out? i have about 80% of that pos in there but since i had "no" previous bearing to compare too... is that way it is? maybe the parts store gave me the wrong one, i dunno
I believe you understand what you think I said but im not sure you realize what you heard is not what I meant....?

One way to find out - stab the tranny and bolt it up. Then see if it has neutral..... :redneck: Just a thought here but I never saw one stick out past the end of the crankshaft it presses into. You probably still have a piece of the original outter race stuck in there.
