flex plate
flex plate
im new here i have a 88 bronco II 2.9 and i am having problems with the flexplate. I got the bronco from my dads estate and one of his friends said that he has had alot of problems with the flexplate i dont know if its cracking or just coming loose any help would be great.

is it cracking?? is it comming lose??? how do we know. you or someone needs to pull the tranny and have a look

we have it at the shop, but we have to wait for the mechanic to look at it. i think it is just coming loose the last time it happened it would just free rev and not move (i was driving). no loud sounds just all of a sudden it would just rev.

the flex plate has been cracking around the bolt holes any ideas of what could be going on
