manual 4x4 won't stay engaged??

I have an 87 BII 5-speed with a manual transfer case shifter and manual hubs. If I pull the tcase shifter back into 4x4 position it just goes back to 2x4 when I let go. There is no "positive engagement" feel when I put it in 4x4 but if I hold it in 4x4 it will actually work. Also I cannot get it to go in 4x4 Lo, the tcase shifter seems to run into the 5speed shifter. What is going on here???

The adjustment fixed the problem, very easy to access from below instead of through the shift boot. Thanks again! This will make winter this year a lot easier. Happy New Year!
