heat always stays on when driving

85 bronco auto 2.8
my heat is in the off position and will always stay on. its not as bad when idling but when going faster the heat blows out harder. its been gettin hot out and it sucks to drive lol i do have an a/c and i think it was switched over to the legal a/c, but the ac doesnt work all together lol is there anyway to fix this or atleast a way to turn off or unplug something to get it to stop

Sound like you may a disconnected or broke blend door cable. If you pull your ash tray you can stick your finger up the hole and see if the cable is on the heat selector while moving the selector. If not follow the cable from there.
