trans and transfer case swap

i bought a 1986 b2 today...its got the fm 145 transmission and the electric shift transfer case.what do i need to do to install the trans and transfer case into my 85 b2.my 85 is 2.8l the 86 is 2.9.both my rigs have new clutches in em

I think it will bolt right in the 86

The 2.8l tranny has a longer input shaft for the pilot brg. Don't think it will work. Rangerdave will know.
