Exactly. I must have misunderstood an earlier post. I actually had the lifters out before I put the engine in, but I just completely forget what they were. At least I have a roller block. That is nice. Thank you. You help me out so much. Honestly my b2 would not be where it is right now without your help.

I got the radiator and fan installed today. I had to change the rear yoke on my t-case to the cv style. Started it up. Still have an oil leak but I can't tell where it is from. Either that hole I stated earlier or the oil filer adapter. The guy I got my flywheel from gave me the wrong me. So I ordered a new one. I need to get this oil leak figured out. Once that and the flywheel are changed, it is time to wheel.

I've been doing some research on why my oil may be leaking and I'm thinking it could possibly be a bad pcv valve. I'll have to check it out. I hope that's what it is. Such an easy fix.

What is the correct oil filter to be using. I'm using a ph8a. I'm thinking this could be the root of my oil leak. I think it maybe having too much pressure at the adapter inlet causing it to leak. What is a filter I can use that is more free flowing. If it's not that or the PVC valve I'm clueless. :frown: This leak was there before I changed the water pump. And it is more like a stream than a small leak to give you an idea. That is why I'm leaning towards a pressure issue.

No it didn't. Honestly I can't tell where it's from. It's in the area of the oil pressure sending unit for the gauge, and the oil filter. It only happens when it's running and right after it shuts down it literally pours out. I can get a pic tomorrow but that's the area it's at. Is there room to pull the remote adapter off the block if I would have to? It just seems like a pressure issue with it coming out even when it just off, only for a few seconds though it comes out.

I confirmed that the old filter gasket did not stick to the block. I checked and it's still on the filter. I checked the pcv valve and it rattles. So that's not it. I took the tranny and t-case off also in preparation or the new flywheel. I never though about this but I didn't even check to see if it was powersteering fluid.... With the way it pours out it could be this too. I need some more tips on what all to check. I have until Saturday before my wheeling trip. I didn't expect these problems. I need your help to get me on my way.

I have a single serpentine set-up. I won't be down again until thursday around 11:30. Has anyone ever tried using a short 2" oil filter? It looks like there is room for one if my remote adapter would be the problem. I know I'm jumping around alot on possibilities but I need a list of things to look for the next time I go down.

The bottom of my air cleaner base has a hole in it. What goes in the hole?
