1990 bronco II oil pressure problem please help!

Ok so when I start it up in the morn the oil pressure guage works but then cuts right off when Im accel the oil pressure goes up to normal until my tranny shifts then it goes right back down. Im clueless please help. I get a knock from the engine aswell but it always goes away after 5 min of driving.

Any time you trying to find/correct a problem, start at the begining.
Hook up a manuel gauge with a long hose/line and run it into the cabin where you can watch it while your driving. If the pressure is good then there is an electrical issue, not an engine issue.

just dropped a new oil pump and screen fixed the problem no more knock
