WHats better, getting a c-4 at a junk yard and rebuilding it. Or buying a brand new tranny, such as a Performance Automatic c-4. And is there n e adapters from a c-4 to a Borg Warner 1350 t-case, besides AAdapters? Or is there one i can get a yard?
Im going cheap......

I recommend a 1970 or newer c-4 as the design changed. Also since the c-4 has a removable bellhousing, make sure your bolt pattern matches. Use the 157 tooth flexplate and make sure the starter motor engages properly with the bellhousing. Then pay 600 bucks to AA for the 1350 adapter.
OR-- the c-5 tranny came in the 84-85 bII. It has the same dimensions as the c-4. Once u get a c-5 just change the bellhousing, torque converter and valve body. This way u won't have to use the computer module. If u don't change these parts, the torque converter will lock up.
Have a great Labor Day!
