I am struggling with my 97 ranger. it wont idle correctly check engine light is on. once you rev it over 2k it runs flawless. i replaced the temp sensor map sensor like the obd 2 told me to but stilll wont run correctly. Anyone got anything?

Run the codes?
Need some place to start, the reasons for a bad idle are not quite endless, but near.
Also include the specifics about the truck, especially the engine, drive train.

did you disconnect the battery for awhile to clear the codes after you installed the new parts??
