Automatic transmission fluid

I changed my ATF when I first got my BII in August. I checked it yesturday and I think I put too much in. The engine was more than warm, but I don't think that it would be that high up the dipstick. The tranny also shifts funny, I'm not sure if its because I have too much ATF in it or not. Is there a way I can drain a little bit of the fluid w/o taking off the whole pan? My brotehr said just to cyphon it out from where I check it from but I wanted to see if theres another way to do it?

Go get a large turkey baster!
Get several feet of oil resistant tubing that will fit tight over the tip of the baster and fit into the trans dipstick tube. After connecting hose insert other end of it down the dipstick tube into the trans pan and suck out the excess fluid a few ounces at a time.

on the trans itself there will be a little cork like thing on the drivers side that will have a 1/2inch ratchet spot(i belive its 1/2inch) in the center of it that u can just take that off and that is right where the fluid is supposed to be at so if its overfull whatever needs to come out will and when its done just put the cork p[eice back in nice and snug and check your fluid
