1988 broncoII fuel injected wont start help???

1988 broncoII fuel injected wont start help???

Ok here is the deal fuel pump at the gas tank has been changed and so has the fuel filter. if i take the intake tube off and hold my hand over the intake and have a friend start it it will start and run for a few seconds with the gas to the floor but dosent rev up very high at all maybe 2-3 rpms and then it dies but thats the only way it will start it acts like it is starved for fuel but just cant figure out why .... its driving me crazy ..LOL

yea i checked it and it comes on and runs for a few sec when you turn the key like it is suppose to and i have fuel pressure at the fuel rails when i push the valve down fuel comes out? i just got the bronco a week ago from my father inlaw for free he told me the fuel pump in the tank was bad and it was so i changed that and it still wont run

does the fuel just dribble out or does it hit the hood?? there should be like 40lb at the test point

ok just checked it and its reading about 35-36 lbs ... had a friend come over that knows more about what he is doing than i do so we have narrowed it down to the computer and got a guy bringin me one in the morning so wish me luck >>>LOL hope it works

ok one more quick question which relay is for the computer? i have 3 on passenger side black,grey,and green

do ya have spark?? spray some gas in the intake and see if it starts on that

OK i changed the computer still no change.. yes it will run with gas sprayed in the intake or if i put my hand over the intake inlet and completely smother the motor out it will suck enough gas to barley run with somone pushing the gas petal to the floor... just cant figure out what is wrong please somone help...LOL

what does it have for pressure when it does run

Stays the same around 35-36 lbs

maybe the injectors arent opening

ok so as i was standing over the motor wondering what the hell is wrong i noticed a group of 5-6 black wires so i tested them and found them to be ground wires which one runs up to the tps on the intake inlet so just to see what would happen i ran a jumper from the neg side of the batt to that group of wires and bame she started right up ran a little rough but its been sittin for about 2 years i was even able to drive it down the road spit and sputterd a few times but hell at least it starts now
