Muffler Replacement Opinion
Muffler Replacement Opinion
Hey all, wanted to see what you guys thought about this. I've got an exhaust leak at the muffler. looks like the guy before me may have landing on something while out on the trail. Wanted to know if you guys thought replacing the muffler with the stock one would be best/cost effective or if moving to a flowmasters or something cheap would be worth it. Thanks in Advance.
Re: Muffler Replacement Opinion
I'm a redneck so when my muffler went I bought a cherry bomb
I had the muffler shop make a flange to bolt up to where the cat once was. Worked great, sounded great, lasted three years.

Re: Muffler Replacement Opinion
i hit a rock a gashed a hole in the muffler on my 90 eb and in all its worth it to replace it with a flowmaster. it sounds great and i got a little better mileage. i run a single in dual out super 40 with tips coming out in the factory location but on both sides.
Re: Muffler Replacement Opinion
plus it will last a lot longer than a cheap cherry bomb or thrush glasspack

i have a glass pack on my truck and love it. I used to have a flowmaster in there and it was to quite. Where do you live i still have the flowmaster that has no where to go. Its pretty beat up though.

Re: Muffler Replacement Opinion
chucknti- Thats a sweet set up. Im definitly trying to keep this as cheap as it can be. only paid 200 for the truck and have put about 150 into it.
I live in Tucson, AZ and if the flowmasters works its all good. im down with ugly things. What do you want for it?
