low oil pressure/engine swap?

hey just bought my 1st b2 its a 87 eddie bauer 4x4 decent shape paid 600 2.9 auto with od starts and runs fine only problem very low oil pressure do i have to pull motor to remove oil pan? also have acess to 2000 ford contour[totaled] with 2.5 would be this motor be easy or feasible swap?

How low is the oil pressure? Cam bearings can cause this too. You may want to start looking for an engine. I would start running lucus oil treatment in the meantime. Good luck. :canada:

This does not mean anything big all the time. And unless you have a lot of free time and you just like the 2.5 really well for some odd reason I would not try it. Also for the 2.5 I do not think the current transmission you have in your B2 will bolt up and you have to get adapters. for a little more indepth looks at ways to solve your oil problem look at my post on the recent topic OIL PUMP.
